Reincarnation 11

Nov 06, 2009 19:50

You know what? I'm bored.

Anyone who wishes to fight me in this "card game" can do so. If you don't mind losing, that is. <3

[ooc: Mima accepting all challengers. Victory/Loss determined by mutual agreement...or random chance if there is no agreement. Not 100% sure where I want to go with this, but I will say her deck will make sense to some...]

time to duel?, reimu, rita, bow, yoyo

Ah! Lady Mima. I'd be delighted to partake in a duel with you if you so desire.

Very well, then. I have the unfortunate habit of making preemptive strikes, but in this case, I believe I shall allow you to make the first move.

Fair enough. [Draws]. Two magic cards face down, and one face down monster. Go ahead.

Oh. Rules.

As you wish. Ahh . . . I, too, shall play a face-down monster in Defense mode, and -- oh, my!

[Without clarifying any further, she slaps the magic card down, and their playing field transforms. The area fills with fog, creepy music begins to play, and . . . Boo's Mansion falls from the sky with a massive *crash*.]

Ahahaha! Home, sweet home! Who knows what sorts of tricks lay in wait, hmm? Increased attack and defense to any ghost or spirit on the field. Including the two of us, I suppose. Ah -- One more face down. Your turn.

Impressive, certainly.

Of course, it works both ways. I play Forgotten Poltergeist. [The monster looks NOTHING like this. Nothing I say.] I attack your monster with her. Let's see what happens, hmm? <3

[The ghost girl let's out a stream of bats that fire projectiles]

My! I do apologize, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to rebuff your attack.

[The monster card flips over to reveal . . . a solid grey block. It seems to suffer no ill effects from the stream of bats.]

I'm afraid you'll be hard-pressed to deal any damage to the Boo Buddy Block in defense mode. Now, then, I'll play another monster face down in defense mode and two magic cards face down. That's all for now.

Not attacking. How interesting. I play...Turtle Sibling #1 in attack mode.

[The resulting monster does not look like Iggy Koopa]

Incidentially, his special ability lets me see one face down magic card you have in play. Show it, please. <3

Hmph. Now, Mima, you know it's quite rude to force a lady to reveal her secrets. But if you insist . . .

[Bow flips one of her magic cards to reveal a card she's already used twice before now -- Team-Up. The effects are to call in the monster's teammates for a single, extra powerful attack for one turn, the multiplier depending on how many teammates that particular monster has.]

And I'm afraid the other one must remain a mystery. Now do you wish to attack, Mima?

Useless for the moment. I end my turn.

Ohoho! I thought you would. Then I'll flip my face-down monster into Attack Mode and activate its special ability!

[Bow flips over Portrait Ghost: Melody Pianissima! The stately woman sniffs haughtily before setting her hands down to the keys and playing a mournful tune.]

The Dirge of Demise means that all monsters have their Attack and Defense values so long as she plays her song! Now, Boo Buddy Block, Attack Mode! Crush that Poltergeist and we'll forget its pitiful existence entirely!

Trap Card: "Character Limbo". Your ghost vanishes from the game for one turn. A giant void opens up sucking Melody in

I believe your Blocks, are they are, will crumble.

[The Poltergiest manifests a starry void that damages the Boo Buddy Block]

W-What a dastardly trick! A superbly dastardly trick, but I'm quite disappointed inyou, all the same!

[In attacking an opponent suddenly stronger than itself, the Boo Buddy Block is banished back to the afterlife. Bow continues to rant on about cheap shots for a bit before recovering herself.]

Hmph! I'll play two more cards face down and end my turn!

Now then, your monster should return about now.

[The gap opens up again as the monster falls down on the ground]

Now, then, I tribute my face-down monster from before to summon Whip-Away-From-History. [Not her.] Her special ability is to do more damage against undead-type monsters! Now, end that song-player for good! [The monsters throws her whip]

Not so fast! You're not the only one who can activate traps -- Microgoomba Hex!

[A swarm of tiny . . . things suddenly rain from the sky onto Sonia Belmont Whip-Away-From-History.]

Your Attack is halved and will slowly rise back to normal over the next three turns. And since your stats were already switched by Melody's dirge, I don't think this performance is ending anytime soon. Enjoy the show ~

Which activates my other facedown card. Bomb at Last Life! It activates when my monster is at risk of being destroyed and let's her temporarily double her attack power for one attack!

[A bunch of strange Japanese symbols appear as a massive explosion happpens]
