No. Love is something that builds over time. I think it can sneak up on you, but it doesn't just appear when you see someone. How can you love someone you don't even know? Maybe some people believe you see someone and the stars align and everything is beautiful, but I've never seen it happen.
I guess I can say now that I was in love when I was alive. But it certainly wasn't love at first sight. I still remember the first conversation we had, and and I certainly wasn't thinking, "Oh, I'm in love."
More like, "Why the hell is he staring at me with that stupid grin on his face?"
In fact, it was my intention not to fall in love with him. He had a history with other assitants, and I was determined not to become one of them. Young, intelligent, pretty lawyers, all of them, and they all ended up in defense. Or jail. And I didn't want to end up either of those places (N.B. At the time, Diana Hawthorne was not in jail. That came later). But that plan was thrown out the window. Love certainly can be unexpected, but I can’t say that you can love someone at first sight.
