Still Life
Today I think we're going to be studying still life, I know, I know... everyone groans at the idea of drawing or taking pictures of something that doesn't move, but it can be really very interesting. You get to think about why it's there, the way that the thing has been arranged, the light that hits it... It really is kind of exciting!
Just everyone remember that still life is about objects, still. objects. I don't want any of you handing in portraits here, that's what we'll be doing next week.
And I really don't like to bring this up now, but can whoever wanted to play a little joke and remove all of the red acrylic paint from the art department please bring it back. You're spoiling it for everyone.
