Things I Like about Riza....

Dec 11, 2019 10:09

1. Working gas  gauge
2. Heated front seats
3. Decent gas mileage
4. No mysterious rattles
5. Decent sized trunk

Things I'm Not so Fond of:

1. Dashboard notification of possible problems overrides the odometer display.  I'm sure there's a way to remedy this, I just haven't figured it out. Yes, I KNOW we're due for an oil change.... in about 300 more miles.  I'd prefer being able to tell when that occurs over being constantly nagged.

2. Nitrogen- filled tires.  I'm told I can have them refilled with normal air, but it will cost me.  In the meantime, I've had the 'Check Tire Pressure' notification come on every time the temperature drops below freezing.... I personally think that the nitrogen is more sensitive to air pressure/temperature, and that's why it happens, but can't seem to get a definitive answer from the mechanics.

3. The key fob.  Supposedly I had remote start as well as remote lock/unlock.  The remote start never worked for me, and the lock/unlock stopped working over the weekend.  Husband replaced the battery, but that didn't help. The plus side: I'm no longer accidentally popping the truck open.

4. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I think there might be something going on with the transmission..... I have a appointment to have an oil change, safety-check, and tires rotated next week, and I told them to take a good look at the transmission while they're at it.

5. I think the previous owner was a smoker. There's a lingering aroma.  I have a bamboo-charcoal odor absorb-er in the arm-rest pocket, which seems to help.  (the many air-freshener packets secreted in every possible cranny was a bit of a tip-off)

Other than those five things, Riza and I seem to be a good fit.

Husband is on his annual December 'use it or lose it' vacation leave.  Rather that do what I did, and sort out the manga he no longer wants and sell them to B.A.M., he's decided to rearrange the furniture and install the bookcases we couldn't find room for the first time around. This involves cleaning the computer room -- which is a plus, in one way, because I am convinced that we will find some items that went missing a while back, but in the other way, it will make huge messes everywhere else in the house!

(I'd almost rather have Daughter's ceiling collapse again....)
