ode to an old navy 14

Well hello Old Navy 14,
Its been a good long time,
I clearly remember the last time we met,
Way back in september 2004,
I saw you very briefly then,
but we were close close friends,
We spent a very interesting night walking in very
uncomfortable 4 inch heels,
On what must have been my most memorable first date.
The timing belt went in my car,
I cried while we walked,
You fit snugly over me while I climbed over a fence
and then like the wind from Hurricane Ivan,
You were gone, leaving only memories.

Then I had it all planned out,
my first new years eve with someone,
and boy 14, it was going to be special,
but I remember how heartbroken I was
in that moment that I found out you were really gone for good.

But tonight, 14, we met again,
and I must say, I am more than
thrilled, and I hope you don't stay around long
this time, 14, but its only because 12, 10, 8, and
maybe even 6 are awaiting my company.
And I promise 14, you'll be my favorite,
But I'd rather spend more quality time
on those other numbers that I missed in my childhood,
as i distinctly remember leaving a childrens 18 and
miraculously finding your big sister, 16.

And L, please don't feel left out,
I was pleasantly surprised to find you
comfortably wrapped in me tonight,
But I must say, M and S are calling my name.

And 18, 20, 22, and yes, you too 24,
You were good friends to me when I needed company
But I never, ever want to see you again.
