~*Switch (even though there's nothing to switch from XP)*~
Drew smiled slightly as he got Angelica's owl back. This was it. No turning back now.
All through lunch, he sat at the Gryffindor table nervously, barely eating. His eyes were glued to the Hufflepuff table. As soon as everyne else began to exit, he stood up and looked around, his eyes darting back and forth.
OOC: I was going to post it esterday, but I didn't get a chance XD
Angelica ate her lunch happily with Laura and a few other Hufflepuffs, the entire time wondering what Drew was meeting her for. But for some reason she was excited.
Once it seemed as if the students were filtering out of the Great Hall, Angelica looked around and spotted Drew. She smiled and waved, hoping he'd see her.
Drew let out a sigh of relief as he saw Angelica waving. He tried to keep from running as he made his way over to her, so that he wouldn't run into anyone. Even so, he had to be careful with all the older students. Finally, he made his way through the crowd and came up beside her.
"Hey!" he said with a grin, bouncing on his toes. "It's been a while, huh?"
"Definitely not." he said, wrinkling his nose up slightly. Especcially not if this works! he thought nervously.
"So, um... I, uh.." he said, suddenly stammering. He could feel his cheeks go red, but his carefully rehearsed speech seemed to fall to the ground in front of him. At least, that was the excuse he'd use for why he was staring so intently at the ground beneath his feet.
Drew bit his lip before he began. He looked up, and began speaking extremely quickly. "WelltheresthevalentinesdayballandIreallywantedtoknowifyoudcomewithme.." he paused to take a breath, and then blushed even harder. "And I wanted to know if you'd be my girlfriend." he managed to squeak out at the end.
Angelica stared at just his mouth while he was talking, to check if she had actually heard his words right, and her heart started pounding. The butterflies in her stomach seemed to move up into her throat as she replied, "Wow, Drew. I--Yes! To both."
Having expected a very different response, Drew felt his heart sink for a minute. He had already begun to speak when they finally sunk in.
"Oh, ok.. Wait. Really? You mean it?" he said, biting the inside of his cheek in excitement. His stomach was doing somersaults. She'd said yes! He held back a laugh of excitement. A grin lit up his face as he looked at Angelica.
Angelica giggled and smiled warmly at Drew. "Yes, I mean it."
She couldn't wait to go back to her dorm and jump on her bed and sing happy songs as loudly as she possibly could. But she was having fun at the moment, too. She jumped a little out of excitement, and giggled again.
He couldn't hold it back any longer. The laugh he'd been holding back started bubbling out. He giggled, bouncing up and down. He had a girlfriend! And.. He was a boyfriend! His thoughts were all jumbled up. This was so great! "I was so nervous. But I'm so glad!" he giggled, his cheeks pink.
Angelica grinned, all the euphoria wasn't allowing her to make any other type of face. Her first boyfriend! Wow! She just hoped she wouldn't wake up any second to find that it was all a dream.
"You were making me nervous!" she giggled, "And I didn't even know what you were going to say!"
Drew blushed a bit more. "Ooops.. Sorry about that." he said, still giggling.
He was so worked up, he wasn't sure he could stop giggling. In an attempt to stop, he looked up at the ceiling and bit his lip. The sight of it managed to stop the giggles.
"Look.." he said, pointing up at the ceiling. "Sometimes, I forget that the celing can do that." Clouds were floating across a bright blue sky peacfully. It seemed to fit Drew's mood perfectly.
Angelica's gaze followed his finger up to the ceiling and she stared at it for a couple of seconds, her bouncy, humongous smile replaced itself with a calm, sweet one. "It seems so real, doesn't it?"
