Hi everyone,
The last night in Rome Rachel Holden´s wallet got stolen on the bus. Everything was in there: her cerdit card, debit card for Austria, her Austrian Visa, and about 30 Euro. At least it wasn´t more money, and she still has her passport...but still, it really sucks. Because now she has to borrow money from everyone to pay for the 2nd half of the trip, we´re all willing to help out though. Everywhere I´ve been I´ve been holding my purse so tightly and had my wallet zipped up safely in another inner pocket. I don´t carry my passport with me in the cities either. I feel so bad for her though. When that happened, we were ready to leave Rome :P
And then for Spain...Well, it´s really pretty here, but we had hotel troubles. We were supposed to have 2 apartments for the 8 of us to stay in, but it was bad all around. We had to get the keys from a sketchy bar for some reason: already signs of trouble there. Then we went to the building that the appartments were in and one key wouldn´t open the door, and when we opened the other one, angery Spanish people were inside. Yeah. Ridiculous. So, we finally got the other room to open, but it was so sketch...only 4 beds, not enough for all of us, the toilet was constantly running, it was kinda dirty... So, after dinner and discussing thoroughly what we should do, we decided to go back to a hotel that our taxi had originally accidently dropped us off at (luckily). We have 2 rooms there now, and even though it´s a little more expensive, it makes up for it because this place is giving us breakfast and dinner! So, we don´t have to really spend any money on food! And there are like 3 or 4 pools!
So, now life is better. We checked in here last night around 11 after returning the keys to the sketchy apartments, paid for this place, and went to our rooms. The rooms aren´t the best, but they´re better than before. And we have a huuuuuuge balcony to look out over the city! We were literally jumping for joy at the fact that our new accomadations were 100% better than they were. We´re going to definitely hit up the beach here in a couple hours, it´s getting warmer and we all want to go into the water no matter what! haha :D
So, we´re alive, well fed, well accomadated for, and content with life now :) And that´s all that matters...
I better go, my time on the internet is going to run out soon. I´ll try to keep you all updated, but it´s 2 Euro for only 20 minutes of internet :P
Miss you all!
