I got my video for the scholarship app submitted last Saturday night. Alexa's boyfriend Kyle did it for me, so now I have to wait until August 29th I think to find out about it. I wrote some poems for my video essay answering the questions and spoke in my grown-up voice on the video. Heh. We'll see if I win.
I'm wiped out. Work is stressful and I doubt we'll be around for the long haul. Meh. If I get the scholarship, yay, thanks a bunch Best Buy! But if not...it's off to applying elsewhere even though I did already apply at Petsmart which is going in right next door to BBY.
This weekend is the annual book sale at the library down the street, so Mom's been going all week and I went Monday morning, then yesterday morning, afternoon and this morning to finish up. I made a sign because most of the ladies are old and the one that wanted to make the sign tried and when she started it looked pretty bad. I'm not being mean, she just gave up. So she told me what to write and I did it. Last year on Tuesday of the week setting up, the woman in charge lost her husband. My grandparents have known her for years and it was a big loss to the church they all go to, but she seems like she's doing well. Pretty much the same, just husband-less. But he was a lot of stress to her. I love helping set up the sale. I get to see Gert (we call her G-Beck), this woman Jane and her husband Micky (Jane retired from the library and she's amazing), and this year I met a woman named Betty and another named Cathy. Cathy reminds me of my old nursing home resident Ann, a woman that I admired so much. When you help set up, you get two freebies. Anything else is a dollar or less. This year, I got a Hanson CD of songs they wrote before Middle Of Nowhere came out, a book about Savin Rock which was an amusement park in my city that was open from the turn of the century until the 60s I think, and a bunch of other stuff for $5. I'm a book fiend. I love reading and try to read as much as I can. The Savin Rock book is really special because it's signed by the author who's passed away now, and one of my customers from Savers helped compile the essays and stories in it.
I've been trying to eat more fruit in preparation for my Paleo diet that I'm starting in a few weeks. It hurts my stomach a lot thanks to the digestive troubles, but I'm working on it. I'm almost halfway through ChaLEAN Extreme, a weightlifting program that focuses on slow, controlled movements with heavy weights. I already lost over a couple inches in the first phase and I'll be half done with the second phase come Sunday. There are three phases. After this I'm going to see if I'm able to afford being a Beachbody coach. I haven't been spending much money, just on food and stuff that I need for work, so we'll see.
I need a nap. I have sleepy foggy brain going on. Hooray for Chronic Fatigue!
