"Well, that was horrible," he croaks out as they get to their room. Trism had originally brought him to the infirmary, but he'd had enough of sick beds and enough of medical things that he'd merely made use of the sink to rinse out his mouth and demanded he be brought to the room. Trism hadn't liked it, but eventually he'd folded since Liir would

He starts the water running in the tub and helps to peel Liir out of his clothes and wipe off a bit. Once he's clean, he pulls Liir to him close and tight.

"I'm not made of glass, Trism. Id've shattered long before now, you know."

He strokes Liir's hair back and presses a kiss to his temple.
"Should I get you some coffee?"

He doesn't know what Trism's treating him like, because he's never been treated like much of anything but a bother, a convenience, a burden, another number. Except...
It's almost like how Candle had treated him and that's just...that just makes it hurt worse, the fact that she's not there with them and he doesn't even know if the two of them got along, whatever Trism says, but he wants her too.
He growls at Trism.
"He didn't hit that hard."

He looks to Trism even as he's guided into the tub, careful and unsure of anything he's saying, unsure of everything but Trism.
"And you wouldn't have. I'd have vomited soon enough anyway."

"Is that all you want us to be?"
He hands Liir a flannel, strips off to the waist, and then begins cleaning Liir's soiled shirt in the sink.

"So, tell me about football."
Reply
He looks to Trism.
"I'm not bad. You're good as well. Something to do, right?"
Reply
"Sounds brilliant. Been too long since I played football."
Reply
"You are going to have to learn to deal with having nothing to do, though. It's really not a horrible thing."

He kisses Liir's lips and gently massages his chest and belly.

It aches even as it soothes and he rolls his eyes at Trism.
"I've had much worse, you know. Before and after that grand fall from the sky. Even you roughed me up worse, boy o."
Reply
But that was Trism, and Liir is his.
He squeezes him gently and kisses his cheek.
"You'll have to introduce me to this football captain."
Reply
"Right."
A moment's pause.
"You'd better not suggest a riding trip tomorrow. I'll hit you. I will."
