The Monday after the Valentine's Day disaster, Jack has plans. Although he and Ianto have been failing at communcation, epically, since that past Tuesday morning, Jack hasn't been failing at much else and he makes plans with Alice to go to a pottery class.
Well, that is, after convincing her that, no, she won't get an irresistable craving for the clay and gorge herself on it in the middle of the class. Reluctantly, she agrees and they spend the better part of the afternoon together attempting to make bowls or vases or something. Jack's comes out lumpy, though Alice claims that it has wabi-sabi, and Alice's is a little too perfect for a beginner, causing Jack to cry unfair. Alice takes pictures of each with her phone before they're sent off to the kiln and they wind the afternoon down by heading to the Plass for pistachio ice cream.
When they get home, Alice declares she's going to have a nap and asks Jack to please refrain from slamming doors, thank you very much. He laughs and shakes his head, settling down on the couch to watch whatever's on while finishing his ice cream cone.
