It's been a month since I got here, and I only start remembering things now? How is that supposed to work? I'm no expert in this voodoo mind shit, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way

After 13 months I still haven't remembered everything. I've yet to receive an acceptable explanation for why all of us are here or why it's necessary for us to suffer amnesia, only for our memories to be gradually returned to us.
It's vexing and the entire scenario is ridiculous, but there's no easy way around it. You'll just have to be patient.
[This kid is vaguely reminding her of someone. Only worse. Hummmm.]
*pfffffffft* What a load of bullshit. If you've been here for so long, why haven't you just found whoever's keeping all the memories, huh? It's not like this place is big enough to actually hide.
13 months! I could've chased this prick halfway to China by then!
Maybe I should! It'd show all of you a lesson in in survival stalking.
And what's with the 'stuffy gargantuan lexicon', anyway? Are you scared an English teacher is going to pop out and try to fail you every time you open your mouth?
"Survival Stalking". Since when is stalking a necessary skill? Ah, yes I see. And yet he doesn't seem in any hurry to take action.

On the contrary, I have no such concerns; I always speak this way. I'll try to refrain from overusing "stuffy gargantuan lexicon" vocabulary in the future.

Most people around here understand things, just not necessarily what you want them to. I think you'd find that they're quite helpful, if you'd take a moment to evaluate and refine your treatment of them.
[Ignores that whole comment about sticks being shoved up her rear. As a matter of fact, she might be talking more formally because of it.]
Nathan, then. I'll be sure to remember it. As if I could forget after being told once.
[She's not even bothering to offer her name back. XD]
A spell? Well, excuse me! I wasn't aware this was a pre-school girl's fantasy world. And I bet everyone rides around on rainbows and unicorns, too, then!
[She really can't take them, but have some ~*"English"*~] Maybe not, but it's stupid to think that just because a place is "boring", there's nothing to worry about.
[Nathan, don't flatter yourself. Tear's ignoring your remarks. =/] No. What I'm saying is that ignorance is dangerous, not only to you but to other people. You may not completely realize it yet, but this island is far from ordinary, and most of the people who are brought here have unique abilities. It might sound like some child's fantasy to you, but peculiar things can and do happen in Memento Eden.
I am only going to show you once. If you still don't want to believe it, then that's your own problem.

Indeed. If you believe you can do a better job of it, you should make your own attempt at finding and apprehending the individuals responsible.
You seem confident. Too confident. I'd be very interested in seeing you succeed in this endeavor.

I'm sure you will.

[Explanation.]
There's a translation spell - or some other device - in effect on the island that allows people to understand one another, or so I assume.

If you have a minute and would like to step outside, I could show you what I mean. It wouldn't take long.
[OOC: Though she's sorely tempted to use him as a target.]

But if you're so desperate to get a chance with me, I suppose I could "step outside" with you.
