With the arrival of Chidori into the city, I have a mission requirement that goes beyond serving the safety of the citizens in this city. In response to what would be biased judgment on my part, I must resign as chief of police. I will still work as a part time officer but I cannot work as a leader. I apologize for this but my orders from Mythril stand higher that orders here. Hopefully you can find a replacement that will work harder than I.

Negative. I am guarding her. If she were to get in danger and I were the head of the police, I would be tempted to use the police force to help protect her. That would not be fair to other citizens. That is why I am submitting my resignation.

I have only spoken to him in person. I also wish to recommend Colonel Roy Mustang. He is new to the force but he has years of experience under his belt.
