Axel glances back at the call. Seeing Mistle stand there, possibly a witness to his and Roxas' argument makes Axel pull out his favorite mask. Whether Mistle sees through it is uncertain.

"Mistle! What are you doing here, man? You're looking very green today," Axel says cheerfully. A look at Roxas confirms that Roxas isn't going to say a thing.

Roxas is still, eyes focused on Axel. His face is expressionless, eyes dark. He remains silent - a statue.

He eventually sighs, rolling his eyes. "Well, obviously I never showed up. Glad you noticed." Roxas doesn't answer the first question.

"How could I not notice. I was there, waiting for your skinny @ss to show up." Something that usually would be said with humor or sarcasm comes out weary instead.

"Tch. Whatever," Roxas snaps, crossing his arms and averting his gaze. He exhales sharply.

For some odd reason, there's what appears to be a Dusk lurking around in the nearby shadows. Only ... it doesn't quite feel like a Dusk for some reason. Maybe it's the way the shadows are bending near it, or maybe it just feels like something more than a mere Dusk. Or maybe it's nothing at all.

But whatever the reason (or lack thereof), there is still a lesser Nobody hanging around.

"Look, Roxas..." Axel trails off as he senses a Dusk nearby. Shifting a hip, he turns towards the lurking Nobody, eyes narrowed.

That better not be a new type of Nobody because no Nobody sent him the memo, so to speak.

Axel throws a trail of flames at the Dusk. "Spying?"

::Observing,:: it corrects, wiggle-dancing out of the way of the line of flames.

The fact that it almost seemed that the shadows bent as it did ... was probably just his imagination. Right?

The flames weren't meant to harm, just to get the Dusk's undivided attention.

"For weaknesses?" Axel fully turns towards the Dusk, more out of curiosity than out of feeling threatened. He notices the shadows but decides not to mention it yet.
