Thanks to everyone who worried about me or came to see me in the hospital. I appreciate it. I do wonder why I didn't end up completely dead, though, if you know what I mean. Maybe because it was a curse that caused it and not some other event within the city? It seems to be the case for most people who "died" that day

Indeed. That appears to be a common trend when we re cursed in events that would lead to imminent death or lifetime crippling. There was that "black plague" curse I can vividly remember that was also part of this exception.

Perhaps we are more useful alive than dead.

Or is a mere whim that we don't know how long will last. Past year, the rules were different.
