So now that I'm hired, who do I report to, where do I report to them, and who reports to me?
By the way, you didn't ask for any credentials or proof of training. I understand the difficulties of leaving home without warning, but I could have just been a trigger-happy psychopath for all you know, about to drag the name of the police through the dirt, throw the entire city into chaos, and generally fuck things up. It's called a screening process and I've done enough of them to know they're necessary.
More importantly, do we have any ongoing investigations? What's our stance on this arrancar/shinigami thing? People can still get hurt in a cold war.
I understand that many have been hired who have supernatural powers or whatnot - do we have a set of regulations covering necessary use of force? I understand the population is varied to say the least, but that won't help when someone goes down in a fight, whether it's a police, a civilian, or a criminal. If we've got a legal system the police have to live under it, same as anyone else.
Do we have some sort of way to recognize police officers on the street? Half the effectiveness of a city police force is the public's awareness of it, regardless of skill level or actual success.
I'm also afraid I don't quite understand the line of command here. If a crisis goes down, there can't be any confusion as to who makes the calls. So if you were planning on playing Machiavelli I hope you'd reconsider for the sake of the people who rely on the police to keep them safe. This should be nothing compared to the FBI, the CIA, the SS, and Customs trying to work together, but it seems like just as much of a mess. Assholes.
Finally, who is our public spokesperson? Who's entitled to give statements to the public? I'm all for transparency, but you don't get that through everyone throwing their opinions into the hat.
Cohesion. That is what we need.

Another influx of arrivals, no one from my world. Just out of interest, how often do people arrive here for the second or third time, not remembering their previous incarnations?
