Sort of. Someone I know left the city recently and his heartless husband didn't want to keep the dog around, so handed him off to someone else, who handed him off to me. He's a English Terrier, so he's pretty energetic.

I'd agree, except he needs some training before I'd want him anywhere near anybody else's animals. He gets defensive and bites sometimes. He'll have to learn how to play nice sooner or later, though.

And, uh, that's kind of a big thing to accidentally reveal about someone. I hope you're not in trouble.

So am I. He probably won't mind. It's not something to be ashamed of or anything.

Normally my age, relationships, or where I live would be public knowledge, but this city has a way of getting these things out. What's your interest?

It's unique. Like a superhero or something.

You can bring him by some time, then, and we'll see how they get along. It'll be good for him if he can make new friends. I don't know where Nicholas brought him, or what kind of training he did with him. And it's not like I can ask Styles.

Defensive? He claims not to be, although I can see how it could happen. He's a protective guy. I don't know about unique, though. A lot of people here have abilities I wouldn't have thought possible.

That's true. This place is like a melting pot for people with powers. It's so surreal.

The Earth I come from doesn't have anything like magic or mutants or homunculus or shinigami or gods or monsters so yes, definitely surreal.
