First of all, wow - I wasn't expecting this post so quickly after the first three parts. I am impressed. Thank you.

I skimmed through this one pretty quickly and was...well, disappointed isn't quite the word I'm looking for, but close enough...so, disappointed that there wasn't as much of the training as in it the previous one. Reading through again, it's not disappointing at all. If anything, it moves the story to the next level.

I didn't think for a minute that Ianto was an unwilling participant once Jack brought the 'party' to his flat. He was a little out of his comfort zone, but he's definitely caught up now. I loved the use of the safeword, and I particularly liked Jack's reaction. Understandable, from his point of view, and also from Ianto's. I thought the scene in the kitchen was humanizing (of Jack, especially) and leveling for them both. I think your Jack voice is excellent, but it wasn't until Jack explains that he needs this just as much a Ianto does, that this character really became 'Jack' for me.

In all honesty, I'm having a little more trouble with Ianto. It's not that I don't see Ianto enjoying the sub role, I do. Especially just coming off of the whole Lisa thing, which must have been SO stressful and exhausting for him, I can see giving up decision-making, i.e. control, so must be so tantalizing for him. I think this chapter brings him up and out a lot more as well. It gives him the chance to take control, too, by consciously choosing to be a participant in this relationship. I think what was most disturbing about this series from the outset is that one could argue that Jack has taken advantage of Ianto in his vulnerable state. Now that is clearly no longer the case.

I'm looking forward to more. This subject is a kind of kink for me, and I'm interested in what appears to be two different entry points into the D/s world (at least for the sub), i.e. one where the sub enters into it by choice and with eyes wide open, and the second where the sub is well along in his training before he even knows it's happening. A couple of examples:

I totally agree that it's a vulnerable time for Ianto. Jack could have waited and maybe he should have. I also think Jack can't shake a part of his own background, which is: sexuality is a big part of how he relates to people. Not in the LOL!healing cock! way, but in a way that makes him feel good about himself/useful. Being a dom is part of his personality that makes him feel as if he can "rescue" other people, in a way. I think he feels it's part of his duty. He does think he knows everything, but really, he's not omniscient. :)
