And second....
I finished reading the newest SG-1 novel, Relativity yesterday. I blew through that book. It was different than the other SG-1 Fandemonium novels, and it's written by an author that hasn't done any previous ones (James Swallow), so that was a bit different. Overall I think it was alright.
Don't read any further if you don't want to be spoiled...
I would have preferred more from the action and less from the politics of the story, but it was okay. The story just seemed more focussed on a future Jack's daughter (Jade), and what was going on in their time, rather than the present-time SG-1. I understand that Jade and her father had gone back to fix the mistake that had led to the damning of their own future, but I would have liked more interaction with the regular team.
I know the author kept dropping hints about who Jade's mother was, throughout the book, (as it seemed fairly obvious that it was Sam) however I was hoping for some kind of confirmation, atleast at the very end of the story. There was none, and that annoyed me more than I thought it would.
Also, the author didn't seem to have the firmest grasp on all the canon characters, and they (SG-1) weren't interacting as much with each other as they were with the original characters.
So, I suppose that's all I've got to say on that novel.
