He directed the last statement to Kaidan as much as to Joker.

It wasn't that he minded Emma himself, but. Well. Joker might.
"Emma's a, uh." Beat. "She's a telepath."
He'd warn Joker about the rest of her, but he wasn't so sure Joker wasn't perfectly equipped to deal with that.
