So I've been listening to like, only the first half of Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment, and I think I'm in love with him all over again.

IT IS AWESOME.

Seriously. It's everything I've been waiting for and expecting of him. And I think I know my music a little too well.

So there are definitely some standout songs for me. Which is pretty much the whole first half of the CD and some of the second half. Let's start from the top then!

Music Again has an *amazing* Classic rock sound to it, but with Adam's pop/rock/electronic sound added on. The basic singing melody is a htrowback to the classic rock era, along with the guitar solo in it. One of the first stand out songs for me, granted it is the first song of the disc, but I think most people pass it on to FYE, but I loved it. It's an awesome rock-dance song! For Your Entertainment is just a great single. It's extremely listenable, fits right in with the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna. It's EPIC. Strut was another of my fast favourites, probably because of it's very dancey beat. Along with Strut is Sure Fire Winners, which takes the cake for this set of lyrics, "I was born with glitter on my face/My baby clothes made of leather and lace". Both songs are fun to just get sexy and dancey with and sure Fire winners has a really amazing rock anthem feel to it. If I Had You I think has actually this Rihanna crossbred with like IDK, Kylie Minogue or something. It's dance anthem-y with a sweet rock edge to it. Fever, what can I say, 'sexual tic-tac-toe' is just that. Another fast favourite.

So yeah. Those were my favourites out of For Your Entertainment. And this is bearing in mind I've only listened to it a little bit, and I've definitely picked out most of the faster songs, but hey, that's just me, I love energy. But one of the slower that caught my attention and is easily my FAVOURITE.

And it's called Soaked. It opens with this *epic*, huge instrumental piece and then it drops gorgeously and suddenly to Adam's amazing vocals. Just wow. And the whole song just ebbs and flows with this emotional rise and fall of the song. Amazing. it's pure LOVE.
And the first time I heard it, my first though was, damn. It could belong on a Muse album. It's got that epic vocal, epic instrumentals. and then just today, I got the chance to look at the CD cover. Damn. I am good. Soaked was written by Matt Belamy of Muse fame. I was just wow. The song blew me away, and the idea that Matt Belamy wrote a song for/with Adam, just WOW.

And I love that Adam allows the musical influences of the writers to come through. Like, on first listen, I could tell Whataya Want From Me was written by P!nk. And Sleepwalker had One Republic/Ryan Tedder written all over it. And Fever could belong right in Lady Gaga's album and well, it was written by her.
But of course, they all have Adam Lambert written all over them too.

and did i tell you Adam sounds *a-may-zing*. XDD

If you liked Adam in AI, go get his album. So worth it.

music makes me lose control, adam lambert
