I only have action shots as I didn't take any when I was making them and once I put them on I didn't want to take them off again. :-) They are lush.
They turned out perfect, the cuffs fit very well, which is good because I was worried about them being big enough for my chubby ankles. I was particularly pleased with how the heel came out, the picked up stitches around the heel flap are flawless (last time I ended up with a tiny hole which I sewed up fter finishing, but this time it came out perfectly). I think twisting the picked up stitches helped with that a lot. I shortened the toe by 4 rows as they were coming out a little too big; but that was not a huge deal as I tried them on whilst making them to make sure they were the right size.
Close up of lace:
The lace was very easy to memorise and I don't think I made any mistakes in either sock. Woot! I was a bit concerned about the stripes eating up the lace but I think the simplicity of the lace pattern works OK with the stripes. It makes the socks nice and textured which I like.
Socks FTW!
