The Osborn home is empty, or at least that is how it seems to Angel. Harry and Kara's marriage has ended up in separation. Harry took off to Gotham, and Kara took off to Florida with Addie. She hadn't asked if he wanted to come with her. He hadn't offered to go. Lately he can't help but feel that Kara doesn't truly want him with her. Maybe it's because she's just counting down the days until he leaves her the way Darla did.
Which is funny because Angel has never left her. Every time she has pushed him away, he's fought to come back. Every time she's held on tight, he's held on just as tight to her. She's his little girl, and he wants to be with her. He's left his friends and family to be with her more than once. It's not enough though. It's never going to be enough because too many people before him broke her heart and lost her trust.
Angel's just the guy who sticks around. He even sticks around at the Osborn house when the Osborns have already cleared out. He contemplates just showing up in Florida, but he decides against it. If Kara doesn't want him there then who he is to impose on her? He considers staying in New York to prove to her that he isn't just looking for a chance to cut ties with her. The problem with that is that he really has nothing holding him here. He's a champion for the city, but he can be the power's bitch anywhere.
His friends and family are all back in Los Angeles. Angel misses them. He hates feeling like if he leaves to go see them, he's going to be greeted with another disaster because he wasn't here to prevent it. He hates thinking that if he leaves, Kara will look at it as proof that he didn't love her enough to stay.
The reality is he can't live his life trying to be what Kara needs him to be. He did that with Darla and Connor, and look where that got all of them. Kara's gone now, and until she comes back with his granddaughter, this house isn't a home.
He'll talk to Cordy, Faith and Fred and see if they are heading to Los Angeles with him. Cordy is already bouncing back and forth so he figures it won't be a big deal. Maybe Faith and Fred will want to go back to some place familiar for awhile.
New York feels empty.
