TM 247 Write about a mess you've cleaned up

She's not writing on the walls so Angel considers that a sign that Fred is adjusting okay. As okay as she can at least. After all, she's back from the dead after how many years? That had to take some adjusting to. The walls are free from her equations. That's a good sign. That's the positive that he's focusing on. He talks to her in low tones, and he tries not to overload her with too much information at once. She's Fred, but she's not Kara's Fred. Maybe she isn't even Wesley's Fred. She'll always be Angel's Fred though. That won't change.

Kara and her husband have separated. Harry removed his cars from the garage, and just enough of his possessions from the house to make it clear he won't be back soon. Angel's angry with him, but he also understands. Harry wasn't exactly stable back when Angel first met the pain in the ass that would become a permanent fixture in his life. First his daughter, then his son, and now back to his daughter. Angel has given up hope he'll ever be truly free from the punk. Especially since he's the father of Kara's daughter. Kara isn't okay, and Angel doesn't know how to make it better. For three years now he's been trying to make things better for her, and sometimes he thinks he's succeeded. Other times he thinks the world is stacked against Kara, and nothing he can do will make it back off and let her catch her breath. He wishes Darla were here. She'd know what tea to make, what dvd to watch, and what to say to make things better.

Cordelia is depressed. She's broken up with Lindsey, and Lindsey is depressed enough to have asked Angel to look after her. Of course he'll look after her. It's what Angel does with his family and friends. He doesn't know what to say to make things better for her either. Words can't take away the pain that Cordy, Fred, and Kara are all carrying. They're moving around the Osborn home and apartments like traces of the people he truly remembers them being, and he doesn't know how to fix any of it.

Addie has dropped her sippy cup, and the juice splatters on the floor. Angel quickly cleans it up. It's easy to fix the problems that make Addie cry. He wishes the same could be said for Cordy, Fred and Kara.
