The suite Kara has had an adjoining room available so that is where Angel is staying. Or at least that is where his clothes are. He's mostly been staying in the suite with the girls when they aren't out shopping. It's a beautiful suite. There are fresh flowers brought in every day by the maids. There are fresh flowers delivered every morning from Harry. Angel made the trip to LA the moment he heard Kara was staying on. He normally would judge Harry for taking a weekend away when it obviously sent a message to Kara that she should stay in LA instead of coming home. Normally he would tell Harry that he needed to get his shit together because Angel wasn't going to stand by and allow his little girl to be hurt by some rich punk who thinks he's entitled to do so.
The problem this time is that Angel believes Harry absolutely needed to get away. The punk has been steadily getting more tense with each passing day. He knows the kid isn't right. It's not just the stress and school or even mourning Connor. The kid moves in a way that humans don't move. He can smell rage and frustration rolling off Harry in waves. He wasn't the most stable block in the building before he did whatever he did to make himself move the way he moves now. Everyone seems to be running around thinking they are crazy. They don't know the meaning of crazy. Angel knows crazy. Have you met his princess Dru? If not then you don't truly understand crazy. Guess who pushed the princess into being that insane? That's right. Angel knows crazy.
The last thing Angel wants is for the high maintenance newlyweds to go from stressed out to crazy. If the punk needs a weekend in Gotham with the guy who is trying to keep him from having a break down? Go for it. That meant that Kara needed someone who would try and keep her from having a break down. That guy was Daddy. He knew that she was feeling more insecure and upset lately, and he felt powerless to help her. Darla understood this better. Darla knew when to let her push and when to push back. Kara isn't the only one who tries to imagine what Darla would do or say if she was here.
She's not here though. It's just Angel, and even if he can't be everything that Kara needs him to be, he can be here. Which is why he is sitting on the floor with a plastic ball that he rolls to Addie waiting for her to roll it back. Or to throw it as his face. He's okay with either, actually. He thinks more babies should be aggressive and assertive. It's good for their baby self-esteem. He's sure Dr. Phil would agree. "That's a girl, Ads, toss it back to Grandpa." He'd offer to sit with Addie while Kara took a long bath after shopping if she wanted. He wasn't sure if Kara would take him up on the offer or not.
