And it would be a wonderful spot to lie on a picnic rug and cuddle for a bit too, only Milly is trying valiantly not to think about that. Even though she has dressed up for their lunch date and is feeling a little self conscious wearing pretty things like this.
It's worth it though, she thinks.
Now if only she could stop thinking about jumping on top of him and kissing him all over that would be wonderful. It must be the joys of spring getting to her.]

And hell, he was even able to handle having sandwiches for lunch without sporfling his drink all over the blanket, right?
... yaaaawn~]
It's starting to get into sleepy weather lately. Don't you think?
Reply
[All cuddled up and listening to heartbeats and being all cozy and sweaty and- dang it. There she goes again.]
I mean yes. Yes, it's nice weather for sleeping together- oh shoot. Um. I mean napping together. Not that other thing.
[Oh dear, now she's all nervous and twitchy and it's all her fault. Her shoulders slump a little.]
Dang it, I should just not open my mouth so that I don't keep jamming my foot in it.
Reply
He just takes her shoulder and pulls her over reassuringly.]
That's all good, big girl. After all, it's way funner to see you get flustered.
[TROLOLOLOL, but still, he's actually pretty relaxed now. It's a great day for just sitting back and letting everything else move busily.]

You're so mean, Mr. Priest. You can get me all bent out of shape really easy, but nothing ever works on you.
...unless you're not wearing a shirt.

He pats her shoulder, suddenly a little concerned once he realizes why it sounds a bit familiar.]
Milly? [using your name, big girl, so listen good] Don't panic just yet, but I think we're being followed.
Reply
I left my stun-gun behind.
Reply
I don't have much on me, either.
[Shit. He abruptly comes to a stop when two figures--robotic in stature and soon showed robotic in body--emerge from the brush ahead of them. That's four or five, and they're basically naked of anything to stop them with.]
Looks like they're here for the usual kidnapping...
[But is it for her, or for him? He pulls her closer protectively as they come closer to the couple.]
Once they're set on something, they won't be stopping, either.
Reply
Is that... Lost Technology? What's it doing here? Why does it want to kidnap us?
Reply
[No reply, same as usual. Just the continued walking toward them, oblivious to everything else.]
Chances are they're only after one of us.
Reply
What... what will they do if they get us?
[They can't take Mr. Priest; that much she's certain of. She just got him back.]
Reply
Milly. Start walking to the side, okay? Toward the right.
[If the bastards don't follow her and keep advancing, then he can safely just given in without having to try vainly to kick their asses for your sake, huh?]
Reply
What should we do?
Reply
There's nothing to do.
[That's a hideous reply, but it's the best he's got; the droids continue toward him, and then he takes a step backward, in a direction that isn't blocked by his would-be captors.]
... Go on home, Milly. I'll be back eventually, all right?
[But he at least draws the handgun from his inner jacket.]
Might as well get taken with a little bit of a fight.
Reply
[And now she's stopped dead in her tracks, and is gripping onto his arms as tightly as she can.]
No! You can't go, you can't!
