What I like about this so far is the same thing in the last chapter--we have conflict. Too often there's no driving engine in a story, but we have characters clashing here. I was wondering how you were going to fold the Nine-Tails into this story, and here it is; the hints of past events are also dropped in nicely, enough to make readers speculate and add some depth without spelling it out in too much exposition. The genre is now definitely horror, I think.

One typo: “I suppose this much be a lot to come to terms with in only one evening,” should have a must in there, instead. :)

Wah, I'm so embarrassed that horrid typo crept in under my radar! I'm such a stickler about things like that, but obviously I will have to stickle more. XP Thank you for catching that.
Ooh, really, horror? How exciting! I did want rather darker overtones, instead of fluffy bunny vampires (Bunnicula?), so it's nice to know that got across. It's the repeated mentions of coldness that really bring that out; I'm very curious what Kakashi's motivations are here, because he seems to want something more than just a one-time encounter resulting in death. :)

Heehee, a one-off leading to death would certainly make this a very short fic! I could always remix it later.... Food for thought!

I don't think it reveals too much to say that Iruka does indeed have hidden depths. :) And Kakashi's motives will gradually come to light (as soon as I figure them out myself! >_<;;).
I love the scapulae; I think of them as human wing bones. And I wanted Kakashi to mark Iruka not in the typical vampire bite areas of, say, the neck or the wrist.

I like Naruto to have a 'beast' inside because it's such an integral part of the original manga, though Naruto is not the main character of the fic. Plus it provides a little more conflict. Ah, poor kyuubi, reduced to a mere plot device. XP

You raise a good question about Kakashi's lack of fear! I'll have to think on that myself. =^^= I wanted to get the kyuubi in there somehow while still staying on the vampire track and not bringing other supernatural species in. I'll be expanding on it more in future chapters.
I will do my best not to rush. I've done it before and hated the results. It's been a long time since I wrote a chapter story, though. Help me stay in line, please? :)
