Ah, yeah. The curse slot is kind of complicated... I think between that and the church, it really screwed with my head. Definitely no offense taken, seeing as I really was a bastard.

It's alright. I trust you. The curse slot came from my world. One of our enemies, Sync, marked it on my arm to control me - it's an arte that uses past memories to choke inhibitions, usually. I... used to hate the Fabre family a lot. I'd planned to kill them for years. Sync wanted to use that to make me kill Luke and the others. I guess the church was able to take advantage of that.
