I got the job at Springboard Management. This company should really spank my career into shape. Starting work after being unemployed since February means a lot of schedule changes.
I will have to dump the Victorian Lit class I've been auditing. Spinning class will be far less, and I will have to join either the Goodlife Fitness for Women or the University gym. I think I'm leaning towards the former, despite the extra costs, because I want to seriously work out in a less-threatening environment. The university gym's patrons may be more level-headed than, let's say, at the YMCA, but they're still a mix of young university jerks, young kids, and creepy old men. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating. I just hope I can maintain a regular workout without instruction. How's this: 20 minutes cardio, 20 to 30 minutes with weights, and 10 to 20 minutes doing fast circuit exercises before I pass out, 4 times a week. I think I can do it.
Tomorrow, I'm going to buy new clothes at the mall. I don't know which of my old clothes still fit, so it's time to blow some $$s on some hip girly fun. My vanity for dressing "different" or feminine has changed so much over the years, and the need to show up at the dance bar has dwindled to a close, but for some reason, I love dressing up for work. I love wearing ties too. I don't think they're mannish on me. The mall is probably the pinnacle of all evil but sometimes, just sometimes, it has what I need to do well. Goddamnit!
I promise to write more entertaining things in the future. I guess that's what my facebook and twitter are for. I reserve a more serious side on LJ, I guess because fewer people read this and because longer entries are less likely to be silly entries for me. Whatever. Meh.
