What: Waking up for the first time Because I totally suck a remembering I have two characters
When: Uh.
Where: On the edge of one of the fields, near the city center.
Iruka was awake. This was new to him, because to suddenly realize you're awake, you must have been asleep previously. This worried him, as he was currently face down in some kind of field that was clearly not his apartment. He stayed perfectly still, breathing still as if he were asleep, listening for enemies. He was certainly not inside (or anywhere near) Konohagakure if those strange bird calls were any indication. Still, he didn't see any reason to suck dirt any longer than he had to. Besides, the crops would mostly hide him. Iruka sat up gingerly.
He glanced around him as he fumbled at his pouch and kunai holster. Damn, a kunai was missing, but that seemed to be the extent of it. That was good, because he had absolutely no idea where he was. The looming castle and strangely built homes were quite clear on that. What worried him the most was that even after all his missions and taking reports from others' missions, he didn't recognize the area. Furthermore, he didn't know how he had gotten here. Kidnapping is possible, but why dump him in a field, alive, so close to a town? It made no sense.
Fingers tingling from the uncertainty of it all, Iruka stood up, brushed himself off, and slipped into his "nonchalant spy" mode. He needed information desperately. He started heading towards town, hoping the inhabitants weren't too unfriendly.
