I realize that this is really boring to everyone but me. I don't care, because GARDENING IS AWESOME.
Last year I did kind of a half-hearted garden with a handful of low-maintenance veggies and herbs (and an indefatigable raspberry bush), but this year I'm going all out. Seeds are so cheap I can afford to indulge my every whim, knowing they may not all make it. I'm doing a lot more flowers, especially quick-growing annuals to fill up the empty spaces between our new trees and bushes.
So far we are currently growing or scheduled to grow:

blueberries (Earliblue, Bluecrop, Legacy)
pears
raspberries
strawberries
oregon grape

Not to mention our established (and growing) collection of japanese maples, hostas, golden barberry, roses, ferns, hebes, black elderflower, red twig dogwood, butterfly bush, climbing hydrangea, sedums, black mondo grass, purple new zealand burr, baby's tears, wood sorrel, and various mosses, clovers and other pretty "weeds" I'm constantly defending from Bryan's Spray of Poison Doom.
Wow. When you write it all out it looks like A LOT.
May should look FANTASTIC.
