About six years ago, according to my blog, I had "frozen shoulder", for which I got an x-ray guided cortisone shot, which was somewhat unpleasant. It didn't really solve my problem, and so I got a second cortisone shot for tendinitis (less unpleasant), and then my problem was all better.
About a month ago, I noticed that my arm/shoulder was hurting in a similar way to the tendinitis problem (not the frozen shoulder problem, I checked my shoulder mobility and stuff). So, I thought, here I am going to California and maybe it would be better if it didn't hurt. Particularly annoying is that it hurts in my favorite sleeping position.
I ended up with an appointment with the ortho only a few days before my trip, but she was happy to shoot me with cortisone again. Unfortunately, while it has helped some, it has not really solved the problem. So, I guess I will go back. She did take an x-ray of my shoulder, and says that I have some narrowing of some of the bones in the shoulder joint, and that's probably causing the tendinitis. It's kind of like sciatica only in your shoulder.
While I was there, I stupidly forgot to mention my other problem, which is that I fell in January, and my wrist still hurts. It only hurts when I'm trying to do "high plank" in yoga, and so mostly I forget that it's a problem, since I haven't been going to yoga mostly due to Covid and also due to working either too much or inconveniently timed to make yoga fit into my schedule. So, maybe I will mention about this wrist thing as well as the shoulder not being fixed.
