summer in the city; back of your neck gettin' dirty and gritty

Aug 15, 2006 01:54

I'm sorry I haven't been around, I've either had too little to say, too much, or I've been too distracted and messy (as per usual) to say anything at all.

I tend to be better about these things when I'm in school. Go figure.

But, breaking news, attention everyone: Last Wednesday... I ATTENDED A ROCK CONCERT.

Finally.

It was a Foriegner concert, and they were surprisingly cool, I must say. And, as it was at the fair and a Wednesday... I got in for one dollar. That's right. Uno dollar..o. Ja.

Anyway, felt good to get it crossed off the list, didn't quite like being a total rock concert virgin. It's about like being almost 19 and not having been kissed (oh wait...).

School starts Monday. I'm taking Psy, American History, Aesthetics of Film 2, German 3, annnd kickboxing. Which I'm sure will be terrifying but I've always wanted to do it. Yay.

And then I've got work and I've promised myself to continue writing.

I'm gonna die.

But before I go to my early grave, I've got a party on Wednesday, a midnight showing of Snakes on a Plane on Thursday, and a farewell-summer movie night with my bodacious gang. And I've got to fit in buying a car (I've got a lead so I'm not gonna jinx it right now) and squeezing in a doctor's appointment.

I feel as if I've completely wrecked my summer on the one hand, but on the other... I've quite enjoyed myself, socially most of all (the gang, M&M&D, fair-going, breakfasts with Jessika and I even got to snag some coffee and a movie with Sonja yesterday).

Things are alright.
