This is why I don't go out much:
Livia came into ACE today and asked me if I wanted to go with her to a show tonight - I figured her boyfriend was playing and without thinking I said yes.
This is what followed, in order, all things bad:
She arrived, and in my rush I locked my keys inside the house.
We drove to Alameda.
We were in Alameda.
We waited for her slow friends to return from the bank.
We waited at her boyfriend's house for people to get their shit together.
Livia told me we were going to a club.
In San Francisco.
We waited some more.
We drove there.
I paid ten dollars to get in.
The bands, of course, sucked.
Sally, Hannah and I sat out in the cold and were harassed by an increasingly drunk member of our party, Julian.
Someone told me I was going to be driving Julian's car back to Alameda from San Francisco.
We waited for everyone else to FINALLY decide the show blew.
Livia and HER car of people left, we couldn't find Julian's because he's a tool.
None of the people that had come in that car were answering their phones.
I ran up and down the streets near the Rickshaw after midnight trying to find Julian's "COSMIC BLUE" idiot-mobile.
[We found it]
He demanded we drop him off at the Nations in Oakland. Not the one in Alameda that we were GOING to.
I noticed the needle was in "E."
[We dropped him off!]
When we finally arrived at the Nations in Alameda, Livia was upset with me for some stupid reason when:
THIS WAS ALL HER FAULT.
I had to navigate from Alameda to north Oakland, which, while lame, went off without a hitch.
Then, and this is the second best part, when I got home I had to find something to destroy the spiderwebs with while using my stupid phone as a flashlight to retrieve the spare key from the back of the house.
The WORST is that I'll have to see Julian tomorrow at some point because I. Have. His. Car.
Ugh.
Proof that Livia does NOT know what I like, and that you should not let people who don't know what you like drag you to shows that are not free, especially when you'd rather be at home asleep.
