Okay, I'd really like to know the logic that people used when they made up languages. For example, when they sat down and created the present progressive form of spanish verbs, and decided that they should have the general endings of -ando or -iendo, WHY did they then decide to take 6 verbs and change their spelling and make them irregular exceptions to the rule? Why didn't they just let them all follow the same general rules? This confuses me. But I don't think I'm explaining it all that well. Back to work ...
