So this may be a rather tired question- I've been awhile, I'm sure it's been asked before- but I can't help remembering last time I was here having a pesky little device latched immovably onto my wrist.

NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, MIND. In case any robots are reading this. But...

Yeah. Those would be a thing of the past now, would they?

The cuffs're a sort of consolation gift for dying. Not really a good trade off, if you ask me, but at least they're gone.

What? Dying? I didn't die, I just went home.

Not you, the rest of us. Ended up just being some weird hallucination, but still.

Well. That sounds, er... bloody horrible, I guess. But these Keeper things actually rewarded us all? Or, I don't know. Is 'reward' the right word? Probably not. Consolation, like you said. Regardless, it doesn't sound much like them. Call me skeptical.

Well, you know. Saying 'because they think they can get something out of the chaos' sounds a bit bleak.

Even if that seems like it's probably it.

...Hate to say it, but I think I'm inclined to agree with you there. There's bleak, but then there's realistic. I've never been very good at denial. ...Argh.

There's a horrid pun to get out of that, somewhere...

I'm not too fond of up and accepting bleak reality, but in this case... At least it's something we might be able to take advantage of?

De-nial, it's not just a river in Egypt?~

Hm, yeah I think I'd agree with you there. Something like this is a bit more useful than to be ignored. Blimey, the things I'll be able to actually practice..! A hah.
