I can't help but notice the glaring lack of small, confused ninja in our living room or, unless you and Naruto are holding him captive in your room, the apartment at large.
What's going on with that, if I might be so bold as to inquire? I've been stalking keeping up with journal posts on this

Shika... Look, I don't know details, which makes me feel like an even bigger prat. I was helping you with this, I volunteered, and then everything went to shit and I got... distracted. I wasn't even really wounded or anything in the battle! You were busy trying not to die, so just- ...blaming yourself isn't going to do anyone any good. What needs to be done?

guess i'd better explain this all...

in my world, the uchiha clan, sasuke's family... they were all killed by sasuke's older brother, itachi. and sasuke swore that he'd kill itachi someday, but itachi was one of the strongest ninja of our time and there was no way he'd be able to do that alone.

meanwhile, there was orochimaru, a ninja who was exiled from our village for using forbidden techniques. he'd discovered a way to make himself immortal, but the jutsu required him to take a new body every three years. and since the uchiha clan had a special bloodline technique and sasuke was the only available surviving member... orochimaru offered to help him get strong so that he could kill itachi, and in exchange, sasuke would let orochimaru have his body.

but it all goes wrong, and sasuke just... completely lost himself to that thing, betraying our village and naruto, all for nothing

This is just a little kid we're talking about, though, right? Does he even really know what's going on? He must be freaking out. ...Do you have any ideas?

that's how orochimaru works... he always goes after the kids, the vulnerable ones.

i've gotta think... gotta come up with a plan... sasuke's not going to listen to me, but if we forcibly hold him he'll just get away again next time there's an attack or something, and he'll just trust us even less.

protective spells or something... got anything that would make it impossible for orochimaru to even go near the kid?

Protective spells and charms I can do. I know some harding jinxes, too. Or... hm. My friends and I know how to do what's called anti-muggle jinxes. We've only ever done low-level ones but three of us working together... Basically they sort of shield, but by... oh, how to put this. It's like a mirage, but the opposite in a way. If we did it right, Sasuke could be right under Orochimaru's nose and he wouldn't see him. Or, if he did, he wouldn't see Sasuke. It would take some work, though, and a lot of planning.

he won't come willingly... i think we're gonna have to follow him or sneak into his room. luckily i don't think he's living with orochimaru yet.

Alright, sure. You're the ninja, the sneaky bit is probably more your territory than mine, though I do know a couple spells could come in handy with. However, I notice you mentioned earlier the very good point of, how if we do this, there is no flaming way in hell he'll ever trust us again.

i mean work the magic. do it so that orochimaru couldn't go near him, but sasuke wouldn't even realize we'd done it.

OH! Yeah, yeah I think I could manage that. Even if he wasn't asleep, if he was alone I could sneak up and stun him if I had to, but that seems a bit forceful for a little kid. But yes, I could do it while he was asleep and he'd never know.
