good weekend
My friend Terry came down to visit this weekend, and we had a really good time. I'm sure I referenced this in yesterday's post, but all good. I'm still on my Sunday-Thursday, 0545-1415 assignment, and unless I get an emergency assignment or something, I will actually be in the same routine for all of August. Four days in one of the big units and one day in a tower. I'm looking forward to it. It could change, however, as we had four officers injured in a big fight last week, and there is always the chance I'll be covering for one of them. It's hard to say, so I'll just keep my chin up and go where they tell me to go. It's amazing what two days off will do to clear your head. Terry's not using his projector anymore, and wants to get a different one, so I am going to buy it from him. I forsee a lot more movie watching and xbox playing in the future.
