Things you enjoy, not because you have to, but because you WANT to. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.

2) Receiving Netflix in the mail. I'm always relieved when I know I have a movie to watch if I can't sleep, which is most nights. Just knowing I have some distraction is enough.
3) When I was still in Santa Cruz (I'm home in Fremont for the summer) I would grab my ipod and just ride the city buses. It didn't really matter where I was going, but a lot of the time I would go downtown and see a foreign unheard of film in one of the funky little indie theatres on Pacific Avenue. My favorite part was listening to classical music in the dark when I was waiting for a movie to start.
4) Buying myself flowers. You always know if I've had a rough day if I show up with a bouquet of callas lilies. Nothing can bother me when I'm carrying a bouquet of flowers that I just bought.
5) Reading an old, worn book from my childhood, like "The Blue Sword" by Robin McKinley, or "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle.

#2 - I totally agree. My list is so long, however, with a ton of movies we've added for having been recommended...or for reasons neither of us can figure out...sometimes the arrival is disappointing. ("What the heck is this movie?" and "You must have added this to the list because I sure wouldn't have")
#3 - great people watching, no?
#4 - That's much better than my habit of going to Togo's
#5 - I had one book that I loved from childhood and it disappeared before I could swipe it from my parents' bookshelves...I could never remember the title. :(
