All the posts I meant to post

Yeah, Martha Stewart. So yummy I didn't even mind eating the same leftovers every night for a week. I didn't love the puff pastry crust, though. It was too puffy. Mom says to use crescent roll dough instead. I will try this next time.

Why did no one warn me that Anna Karenina is 832 pages long?? It does not fit in my work tote, therefore I don't take it on the bus, therefore it is not getting read. I am, however, enjoying Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days.

In January, I developed a bedtime routine that involved herbal tea and back-to-back episodes of Who's the Boss. What a great show that was. So many interesting relationship angles. Gender roles, rich and poor, city and suburb, employer and employee, father and daughter, mother and son, mother and daughter. Tony Danza in his prime. Judith Light with the shoulder pads and those glasses that covered three quarters of her face. I was really getting into it. I felt like I was 10 years old again, in front of the TV at my parents' house, finishing up homework or snacking on popcorn. Not a care in the world. Then ion television swapped out Who's the Boss with The Drew Carey Show. Bah! Sure, Cleveland rocks and all, but I do not have warm fuzzy memories of the Drew Carey Show. Now I have to rethink my whole bedtime routine.

Cloudy day after cloudy day after cloudy day plus life stress left me completely sapped of energy last week. This manifested itself in a really bizarre way. I was tempted to RUN. This is so crazy. My feet are flat as boards. I have notoriously weak ankles. I have bad high school P.E. memories of being mocked for running like a girl. But all of a sudden, running seems like it would be a really great energy booster and stress release. Maybe it is peer pressure. Here in Seattle where everyone seems to be in training for some sort of extreme sports event, I feel kind of lame when I'm out just... walking. I'll either have to take up running or get an arthritic dog so I'll have an excuse to walk.
