How time flies...

It's been so long since I updated this journal that I almost wasn't able to remember my password. I've been online and reading friends journals, but not writing my own. But since I'm not the only one in my circle of friends who has neglected his journal, I don't feel terrible about it. Just a little bad.
Biggest event since my last update was a visit from my mother and father. XiuLing and I showed them all around Osaka and Kyoto, and with their guidebook they even found places that I hadn't been to before. It was great to see them again, and I really wish we had had more time together. Since I don't get back home all that often, it's far too long between chances to see my family.
Work continues as it has for countless months. No need to get into a rant about that here.
My biggest challenge is the fact that I'll eventually have to get around to speaking and reading Chinese. I've put it off for some time already, but I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and start picking up more and more. As long as XiuLing and I have been together my language skills are still pathetic.
And, of course, time continues to slip into oblivion. Who would have thought May would come so soon. It'll be the sweltering summer before long. Arrrghh. :(
