We have our first tooth!
I'm not sure when exactly it broke through since Robbie was with Duck for the weekend, but I felt it this evening when he grabbed my finger and stuck it in his mouth. It's the front bottom left tooth and the entire edge is poking through the gum! It took me a couple of hours to get him sitting still long enough to actually look in his mouth. Then, after about ten minutes of scooting his tongue aside and moving his hands, I finally got to see it.
I was starting to wonder when he was going to get his teeth in. He's 8 months, 1 week now and I always thought they would come in sooner than that.
About forty-five minutes after starting this entry:
Okay, this has to be the weirdest injury I've gotten from him. I was holding him, giving him some juice, when he suddenly reaches up, sticks his fingers just inside my lip and drags his nails over the gums on my front bottom teeth. The two up front are now bleeding.
Oy. My son. :)
He has also pretty well mastered crawling. He is so fast at it, too. Now he's even starting to stick his leg out to propell himself along, like a paddle. I've seen a few babies do that before they start walking, so I'm thinking he might start trying that soon. He has already figured out how to walk along the edge of tables, chairs and couches by holding onto them. My life is about to get interesting, I think.
A random goof up my mom while taking his picture in the swing. She doesn't understand why I love this picture so much, but to me it just captures his personally in his eyes.
It's even my wallpaper.

I'm only posting the link since it's fairly large and I haven't scaled it down. The black bar at the bottom is supposed to be there so the task bar doesn't cut off his eyes.

Funny story, this one. I had finished my drink from Taco Mayo and was eating the ice out of it since they use the really good crushed kind. Robbie was so interested he had to look for himself. About two seconds after this picture was taken, he started waving his arms and knocked the cup out of my hands. Ice few EVERYWHERE. Including into my keyboard.
