Help! Thief on the loose

Aug 11, 2010 01:25

I was tipped off by someone that one of my stories had been stolen and re-posted to fanfiction.net

My story, Understand was reposted by Ouri96 and retitled as Unleashed Urges

I've reported the theft, and if you've got some time to do the same, I'd appreciate it.

Oh hell, thieves suck, but it's funny to see how they fool nobody. With a gallery full of stolen work it makes them very easy to pick them out.

This is the 2nd message I've received to tip me off that some of my work has been plaigerized. I still have to respond to the kind person who sent me the first message. (The story isn't a verbatim copying, and more of a borrowed idea, so I'm not as bothered as I am by this one.)

Lol, what a week.

EDIT: *deletes extraneous stuff* I posted to stop_plagiarism in this post. They seem so nice there! It's nice to just get someone who has been through this before to help out.

EDIT-EDIT: Looks like the thief's ff.net account has been deleted! (And by ff.net no less. Looks like they DO care, though, I suspect it's because they were posting explicit works.)
