It's the End of the World! Or the Beginning...

Recently Chris and I found ourselves at an impasse, an impasse that we could neither circumnavigate nor compromise around. For the sake of our mutual sanity and in order to spare ourselves much future unhappiness, our romantic relationship has come to an end.
This is one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, because I love him. A lot. And the last thing I want to do is cause him pain. Unfortunately, pain is the direction we were heading.
We do not hate each other, and we will continue our friendship. The next few months will be difficult and sad, but it will eventually be well. With time and caring.
