We actually went "out" last night! (or early yesterday evening) so my photo of the day (video) is a bit late.

I made a new friend! Rock Chuck. I guess they're pests, and horrible, etc. But he was fat and cute. I like him

I like yellow-bellied marmots, they are not horrible, but then they aren't making holes in my lawn. That looks like a very appropriate place for a marmot to live.

Or pooping all over equipment or anything for that matter. They are cute when you see a few, but not when you see herds :)

He's certainly going to find a lot to eat. This is a very well maintained sports park with grass all over the place. Hmmmm, he/she was VERY fat... wonder if it's an expectant mom?

Marmot! I think they are much cuter than, say, a nutria. Or a gopher.

Agreed! He/she didn't have that sinister look I feel like nutria have. Big tho... I wouldn't want to bother one.
