The busiest summer EVAR

It’s almost Sept.
Yeah, I hate to break that to ya, but it is. Like, in HOURS it will be September. WTF??

This has been a busier summer than our wedding summer (no, I’m not joking) or any of the summers in which I’ve moved, or perhaps in my entire life. Good lord.

July, HOT and Penny and Tori and so MUCH STUFF TO DO and then BAM!~ it was gone
And all of a sudden it was Summer Cup and ECLIPSE DAY and Karin and BAM!
Then it was my Mom’s 80th birthday and barely a nod to Allison’s 23rd birthday and

I can’t even roll over and go back to sleep because Confidence Camp is next weekend!

And, with ALL THAT going on (and some would say this is a major blessing, to be this busy) we have PUPPY FEVER! Nope, not just me, WE as in half the people I know seem to be getting or thinking about getting a puppy.

I would like a puppy too please.

But I won’t. I just won’t.

Both my dogs have been “off” this summer and I suspect a great deal of it has to do with lack of regular routine (I’m trying, but failing at keeping up normal habits for us) and extreme heat and lots and LOTS of company and my stress. The boys, who have always been the best of buddies, are getting into scuffles and Rumble is angry and wound up tight. Razor seems worried and at a loss. Poor dudes, both of them.

It is a major priority of mine to get them back into some sort of regular groove. A puppy would be the ULTIMATE in stupid right now. Not to mention I’m sure both my house mates would veto. (as they should).

Still, watching Jeanne go to Illinois to get her new little Stargate guy was joyous and hard. I do love puppy time. I do. But I lay in bed last night and Rumble asked for a potty break about 12:45 a.m. (fair) and we all went quickly back to sleep once the deed was done. I was thinking of if there was a puppy in my room at the same time and how NO WAY I’d be able to just pop back to sleep. No way.

So yeah, no puppies for me. Hopefully I’ll get to meet Jeanie’s little man soon (probably CAT USDAA) She might name him Roonie. Cute.

Here’s Razor’s FULL sibling brother from the same litter, Bungle. Ah yeah, the family resemblance is STRONG… and Bungle is aging at as similar rate with the Raze… Lots of grey in those lines apparently. It was fun to see pics of him and of Rumble’s Momma and such.

I suspect September will fly by as quickly as June, July and August did. Then maybe, just maybe we can ease into fall? Please? Pretty please? T is already making big plans for next summer. I’m brain dead. I can’t even think. I don’t know how she does it. Seriously, I don’t. STEAM LOCOMOTIVE that woman.

I hope to post more soon too. We’re on a semi-non-scheduled agility break since Brownsville. I ended up judging the Summer Cup, so I never ran my boy. It’s ok. He’s so off. I don’t feel connected w/ him at all. My plan is to buy a big box of squeaky tennis balls and start over. He loves those balls, and hopefully still loves me. We’ll see.
