I got an "A" on my 17-page exegetical paper! Awesome! That means I've gotten an "A" in my last class too - the class that nearly kicked my butt. Needles to say, it was a difficult five weeks. I had to take a day of PTO from work just to finish the paper on time. I ended up having a little extra time in the end, but I spent it getting ready for my next class - speech.
I hate speech! It's required; otherwise, I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot poll. When the professor asked us to rate our level of anxiety with public speaking, I was the worst student in the room; this is because every time I've had to speak, my stomach contracts to the point where it tries to get rid of everything inside of it. I had to run out of the room after my last speech so I could throw up. I can't drop the class at this point either - so I'm stuck, but I'm already having trouble trying to figure out the timing in this week's assignment. (Luckily, I'm doing a subject I'm comfortable with, so my "coping quotient" is heightened by my knowledge of the topic)
I'm frustrated with myself regarding school lately. I'm feeling burnt out and I'm not even through my first year yet, credit-wise. To make matters worse, I'm in the second block of nine this year, which means I'll be constantly in school until next December without a break. No Spring break, no Summer break and no Thanksgiving weekend break. -_- *sigh*
Anyway, if anyone who has been through speech has any recommendations or advice regarding how to time yourself, I'd really appreciate it!
