Something is better than nothing

I've known that on some level for a few years, but recently a friend of mine introduced the concept to me in those words, with examples from her own life, and it's sort of become a mantra. I've also heard that expressed as "the best is the enemy of the good enough."

I have always felt that one has to make compromises in life. If you sit around waiting for that which is perfect, you wont get anything at all.

The curtians look great. And the quilt is going to be nice too. There is nothing wrong with tying a quilt, All the quilts I have ever made have been tied.
