If you were to ask Jack when she first started breaking the law, she's probably do two things. First, she'd punch you in the throat for asking stupid bullshit questions, and two she'd probably tell you that she doesn't break the law. Breaking the law implies acknowledging it, and Jack would never waste her time with that. For somebody like Jack, you see, there is no start or finish to her life of crime, because she doesn't see any reason to do anything other than what she already does. She fights and takes and kills because she wants to, not because somebody or some laws tell her what to do or how to do it. She doesn't even consider laws to be worth breaking. The stupid law is just something for chumps and weaklings to hide behind because they're weak and pathetic.
Then she'd probably punch you in the throat again and take any creds you had on you.
The point is, somebody like Jack doesn't consider rules and laws as having anything to do with her. She leads her life the way she wants to, and if the law gets in her way then too bad for them. Of course, it's not just the law that crosses Jack's path. Sooner or later, just about everybody crosses paths with Jack, like it or not.
Three guesses as to who comes out alive.
"I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!!"
Anybody but Jack would have known better than to wander into a Blue Suns hangout. The bar was pretty obviously a den for the stupid bastards. Anybody else wouldn't have started ordering drinks and acting like she owned the place. Anybody but Jack also probably would have left after the first few Blue Suns goons swaggered over and made several vulgar comments which were, to be honest, pretty unimaginative. But not Jack. She just sat there, knocked back another drink, and gave them a chance to drop it. And for Jack, that's pretty fucking generous.
But then one of them grabbed her arm, and Jack doesn't tolerate that kind of bullshit.
So yeah, that's what happened to the bar.
Jack sighs, her stomach oddly empty from her over-use of her abilities. Biotics have a tendency to burn through their food a lot quicker than normal humans, especially when using their powers, so it's no surprise that she's starving after all that. Shoving a body off the bartop, Jack reaches for the bottle she had been drinking from and takes another swig, feeling the burning sensation in her empty stomach. No point sticking around now. There's plenty of bars in this system, and plenty more fights to be had.
With a sigh, Jack stands and grabs her shotgun. The mercenaries were carrying a decent amount of creds on them, so it was a pretty good night all in all, but she can't help but feel like it was over a bit too fast. It's no fun if a fight is over before it can even get interesting, something that Jack finds herself dealing with more and more.
When Jack steps through the doorway, however, she discovers that her night may not be as over as she suspected...
