Arrowette did it, but she's a very special case.

I don't see Peter or Cassandra ever truly doing it. Peter has repeatedly tried. He could and he would if he ever lost his powers, but he'd be back in the game when/if they ever came back. It's the same with Cass. She knows how much good she can do. She might try to give it up, but the moment she saw something happening, something that she could stop, she'd do it.

By giving up violence do you mean giving up the spandex all together, or just being e.g. spider-man who doesn't kick or punch?

Savior 28 still wears a version of his costume and domino mask when he tries his "world peace" idea.

Cassandra Cain would probably wear the Batgirl outfit while saving someone, but maybe she would stop kicking or punching. The JLU version of Dove (from Hawk and Dove) used judo instead of straight punches.
