All right, my thoughts, since I only just now watched it (don't have cable, so I bought the season on Itunes).

Presumably the Reach are now going to fall out of favor with the world populace--their entire schtick hinged on their being "peaceful aliens", and to stop Mongul, they exposed their fleet. So unless all those space ships emerging from the sea escaped everyone's attention, their actions (even to save Earth) should have repercussions. So perhaps that's what Savage intended, I don't know. At this point Savage's motivations seem like they could be summed as "I want to control everything because reasons." I really need to rewatch the entire season to-date to see if that sheds light on anything.

I'm likewise relieved that Karen and Mal's relationship issues are resolved--they were frustrating and mildly irritating, and practically the only screen time they got was dedicated to them feuding or being inconsiderate of each other.

I'm glad we got to see Rocket again, because of all the characters, I think she's been short-changed the most.

I'm hoping that Luthor's new group of juvenile superheroes goes against the team soon and that's over and done with. Not to say I dislike the subplot, but I'd like to see Static join the main team.

Tim was--eh, he got to throw a batarang, fly the bio-ship, and fistbump Impulse. Against space aliens, yeah, I can see him being outmatched (except part of the plan seemed to initially hinge on stealth, wherein he would've come in handy). It seems like Barbara does all the talking for him.

As the episodes remaining dwindles to five, my hope that we'll see certain, specific characters in cameo roles (Cass Cain, Kyle Rayner) dwindles. I know you can only do so much in a show, but even a brief cameo like Steph got would be awesome.
